This year’s House Program, sponsored by the Structure Industry Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties, will include a seminar on what to do and not to do during the fall in our Northwest Florida yards, landscapes and gardens.
The Home Program will be held Friday, Oct. 21, and Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Emerald Coast Convention Center on Okaloosa Island, situated at 1250 Miracle Strip Parkway SE in Fort Walton Beach.At 3:30 p.m. Friday, I will offer a workshop entitled”Fall: North Florida’s Best Gardening Season. “Fall ought to be our busiest gardening season in North Florida. It’s a more comfy time to be outdoors. Numerous plants, such as strawberries and bulbing onions, only do well when planted throughout the cooler weather of fall.
